📇 Case Study: NEXTChina in New York

The China Project aimed to establish itself as a credible English-language news and data resource on China. Prior to COVID, it held a costly conference in New York City for high-level investors, executives, academics, and international relations professionals. In 2023, with easing COVID restrictions, it sought to create a bigger event.

I led the organization of the NEXTChina 2023 Conference, overseeing event design, website development, sponsorship materials, and program planning.

With a small team, we successfully delivered a one-day conference featuring 24 speakers and 450 attendees, covering topics from electric vehicles to human rights. More than half of the attendees held Director-level positions or higher, with positive exit surveys highlighting the conference's success and its impact on the audience.
